The Milpitas Library is showing an exhibit based on the book Herstory 2: The Legal History of Chinese American Women by Dr. Chang C. Chen.
The exhibit and the book offer a rare look at the women behind the evolution of the law that affects all of us and covers such topics as racial discrimination, sexual discrimination and gender inequality.
The Santa Clara County Library District and Milpitas Library are proud to present an event featuring Dr. Chen in the Milpitas Library auditorium on Saturday, June 18 at 1:30 PM.
Dr. Chen immigrated to the United States to pursue graduate studies. After receiving her Ph.D. in biochemistry from Rutgers University and Juris Doctor Degree from Columbia University Law School, Dr. Chen worked in the legal field for 35 years. Dr. Chen has written more than 70 books ranging on topics from the law to marriage.
The exhibit will be on display in the Milpitas Library courtyard through August 28th, 2022.
