Celebrate Black History Month with children’s books and a special craft event!

*Please Note: These programs have ended.

Celebrate the remarkable achievements of African Americans and their many contributions to United States history. Read about these strong, resilient, talented Americans who made a difference for us all. Join us for a special Black American Quilts craft event. Linda Janklow will teach us about some of the traditional quilt patterns created by Black Americans and passed down for generations from the times of slavery and the Underground Railroad. Then, create your own no-sew quilt block. We also have an event for teens, a virtual film discussion for adults, a soul food with Chef Lakish Harris program for adults, a George Washington Carver author talk for adults, and a bonus author talk with Chef Bryant Terry.
