Open Call for Local Bands to Compete

Teen and adult bands will face off live on July 22 at Milpitas Library

WHAT: Contest for local musical groups seeks three teenage (13 to 18 years old) and three adult (18+) bands to perform at a July 22 live showcase at Milpitas Library. The first place finisher for each group will receive $500, with $300 for second, and $200 for third. This is a great way to gain exposure for your group!
HOW: Interested bands have until June 30 to submit their online application. Bands will need to include an audition tape of one song that is available on YouTube, as well as a band name and a short description about themselves. There will be an open vote and the three teen and three adult bands with the most votes will perform live on July 22. The bands invited to the showcase will have up to 20 minutes to wow the audience and the judging panel. More info at sccld.org/battleofthebands/.
