Santa Clara County Library District is cancelling all group events/meetings at our eight libraries until further notice.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Full refunds will be issued for room booking cancellations starting Sat, Mar 7.  If you have questions about your refund, please email the Community Librarian pertaining to the location of your reservation.

Looking for some meeting space?

Community groups are invited to use the Morgan Hill Library's Community Room. All programs and meetings must be free and open to the public. Morgan Hill also makes the Small Side of the Community Room available to small groups for group study, discussions or projects.

Eligible Organizations (in priority order)

  1. Santa Clara County Library District
  2. Organizations whose programs are co-sponsored by SCCLD (Friends of the Library, The Reading Program, etc.)
  3. SCCLD related groups such as Library Commissions, Friends of the Library or library foundations or endowments
  4. City or Santa Clara County sponsored meetings
  5. Civic, school and nonprofit groups presenting programs of public interest

Making a Reservation

Before making your reservation, you must read and agree to adhere to the Library's Community Room Policy and Behavior Standards, as well as the room usage requirements for the room as a whole and for the large side of the room, or the room usage requirements for the small side of the room. You must have a valid SCCLD library card to book a room.

Reserve the Community Room

Morgan Hill Library's Community Room is available for use by public groups, as the whole room for 10-92 people or as the Large Side for 10-58 people. Please review the Community Room Usage Requirements before making a reservation.

  • The Community Room as a whole may be reserved by groups of 10-92 people.
  • The Large Side of the Community Room, when partition is closed, may be reserved by groups of 10-58 people.
    • If the Small Side has been booked, the Large Side may be available. The whole room will not be available when a partial space within the room has been booked.
  • The Community Room (whole or large side) may be reserved up to 90 days in advance.
  • A group may book the Community Room (whole or large side) no more than once per month.
  • The maximum booking duration on a single day is 8 hours.
  • There is a non-refundable fee per booking for the Community Room.

Fees

  • There is a non-refundable fee per booking for the Community Room (whole or large side): $25 for 4 or fewer hours, or $50 for more than 4 hours.
  • Acceptable forms of payment are: cash and check.
  • Checks should be made payable to the Morgan Hill Library, or to Santa Clara County Library District.
  • The amount due must be paid within 7 days of receiving approval for your reservation.
  • Payments must be made in-person. Mailing in the amount due is not allowed.

Reserve the Small Side of the Community Room

Morgan Hill makes the Small Side of the Community Room available to groups of 4-34 people for group study, discussions, or projects. No audiovisual equipment is available when the partition is closed. Please review the Small Side's Usage Requirements before making a reservation.

  • The Small Side may be reserved by groups of 4-34 people.
  • The Small Side may be reserved up to 90 days in advance.
  • A group may book the Small Side no more than one day per month.
  • The maximum booking duration on a single day is 8 hours.
  • For booking the Small Side of the Community Room only there is no fee.

Cancellation

Please use the cancellation link provided in your room booking confirmation email, or contact the Information Desk in-person or at (408) 779-3196 to cancel a booking.


Library-Sponsored Events

After reviewing the Program Policy, please fill out this application to propose that the library sponsor an event that you (or your team) offer, to be held at the library. Due to the high volume of program applications we receive, we may only contact you if we may be interested in partnering with you on a future program/event. Thank you for your interest in library-sponsored events.
