STEAM Programs: Let’s Study Skulls and Let’s Study Sound with Musical Hangars!

Families are invited to an online STEAM program, streamed live through Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SCCLD

At our first program on Wednesday, April 22nd at 3:00 pm-3:30 pm, we will be studying 7 different replica skulls provided by the California Academy of Sciences. We will examine the placement of eyes and the type of animal's teeth to determine if the animal was a predator or prey and herbivore, omnivore, or carnivore and much more! All ages are welcome!

At our second program on Wednesday, April 22nd at 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm, we will be studying sound. Sound travels in waves before reaching our ears. The first activity, magical coat hangers, will let you hear a sound no one else can. In the second activity we will create drums and watch rice dance with sound waves.
