SOS by SZASZA’s willingness to keep it real and raw resonates deeply with listeners. While technically released in December of last year, we needed a full year to appreciate the artistry of SOS. This is my Album of the Year, Grammy winning or not. - Adrienne |
The Record by boygeniusI'm a fan of Phoebe Bridgers (she can basically do no wrong), Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker each on their own but together they've created something very special. Standout track: We're in Love - Anne |

Mañana Será Bonito by Karol GThis inspiring album celebrates personal struggle, pride, and triumph while also drawing from diverse musical and cultural influences. As the album's title suggests, Karol G reminds us that looking forward to a brighter tomorrow can be an act of solace and strength. - Juan |

Unreal Unearth by HozierHozier continues to evolve his music, this time collaborating with new artists and producers. Themes of loneliness, isolation, and heartbreak paired with references to Dante's Inferno as a literary device make this one of Hozier's darkest albums. Hozier explores utilizing his native tongue, Gaelic, on songs like De Selby Part 1 and Unknown for the first time, creating new sounds and meaning for him as an artist. - Sarah |

Poker Face, Season OneThis was my favorite watch of the year. I was so glad to see that it was available at the library since I don't have access to the streaming platform. This crime series mixes murder and comedy to great effect. Like the old "Columbo" tv show, the question isn't whodunit, but how will Charlie Cale figure it out and prove it. This is a perfect vehicle for Natasha Lyonne. - Debra |
The OthersA creepy gothic ghost story, highly recommend if you enjoy slow burn horror and thriller films. The new Criterion 4k restoration of this film looks stunning. I am very happy to see Alejandro Amenábar getting the recognition he deserves for his entries in the horror genre! - Diana |

1923: A Yellowstone Origin Story, Season OneMy addiction to Yellowstone continued this year with the prequel stories. As ever, the adventures are dramatic and engaging. It was also eye-opening, and made me take pause to consider aspects of our history, particularly the Native American story. - Diane |

Jackie Chan: Emergence of a SuperstarSeeing Jackie Chan blossom into one of the great stars of his generation is a fascinating process. This group of six films from 1978 - 1985 show Jackie Chan honing his on screen persona and his truly stunning physics defying martial arts work of breathtaking stunts which set a new standard in film, reinvigorated the whole genre and made him an international superstar. - Don |

Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3"Orange is for blue. Black is for orange, yellow is for green, green is for red and red is for yellow." -RL |
