Celebrate Lunar New Year at the library!
Lunar New Year is a festival typically celebrated in China and other Asian countries that begins with the first new moon of the lunar calendar, and ends on the first full moon of the lunar calendar, 15 days later. This year, Lunar New Year falls on January 22, 2023. Come to the library in the days leading up to this holiday and participate in programming and performances for all ages, including:
- Craft Club for Adults: January 12th from 1:00-2:00pm at the Saratoga Library
- Taichi: January 14th from 10:00-11:00am at the Saratoga Library
- Virtual Taichi: January 14th from 10:00-11:00am on Zoom
- Guzheng Musical Performance: January 14th from 11:15-12:00pm at the Saratoga Library
- Rising Phoenix Lion Dancers and Lunar New Year Craft: January 14th from 11:30-1:00pm at the Los Altos Library
- Firebird Youth Chinese Orchestra: January 14th from 1:00-2:00pm at the Saratoga Library
- Lion Dancing for Lunar New Year: January 14th from 1:15-2:15pm at the Cupertino Library
- Rising Phoenix Lion Dance: January 14th from 2:00-2:30pm at the Saratoga Library
- Sticky Note Craft for Adults: January 14th from 3:00-4:00pm at the Saratoga Library
- The Beauty of Chinese Calligraphy: January 15th from 2:00-3:00pm at the Saratoga Library
