Every year on April 22nd, Earth Day marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. Today, Earth Day is widely acknowledged as the largest secular observance in the world. More than a billion people every year recognize it as a day of action in order to create global, national, and local policy changes.
This April, check out SCCLD's library programs and booklist for kids centered around this important celebration!
