April 30th is Children’s Day/Book Day (Día de los niños / Día de los libros). Children’s Day/Book Day, commonly referred to as Día, is a nationally recognized initiative that celebrates the importance of literacy for all children from all backgrounds. It is a commitment to ensure all children and their families have access to diverse books, languages and cultures.
This year SCCLD libraries are celebrating Dia with Family Lotería events! Families are welcome to visit the following libraries and play a fun game of library lotería and win small prizes.
The following libraries are hosting Family Loteria events in celebration of Día.
Milpitas Library, Thursday, April 6 at 3:30pm (Registration required)
Morgan Hill Library, Saturday, April 15 at 3pm
Gilroy Library, Monday, April 24 at 6pm
Los Altos Library, Tuesday, April 27 at 4pm
