The Friends of the Cupertino Library holds book sales several times a year of donated gently used books.

2026 Schedule:

• Feb 21 & 22
• May 30 & 31
• Oct 10 & 11

Book Sale Hours:

Saturdays: 9am - 3pm
Sundays: 12pm - 3pm

The Friends of the Cupertino Library, opens a new window raise money and perform volunteer service. They obtain their funding through book donations. Their efforts make possible:

• a better collection
• a broader range of programs
• a more attractive library

Donate to the Friends

Contact the Cupertino Library to check if the Friends of the Library are currently accepting donations.

Donation Guidelines:

• Friends of the Library accepts books and multimedia including CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays in good or gently used condition
• No magazines, encyclopedias, cassette tapes or VHS

When to Donate:

• Monday 10 a.m. to Thursday 4 p.m.
• Donation bins may be closed due to holidays or poor weather condition.

Where to Donate:

• Two donation bins in the lobby.
• One donation bin outside the building by the self return machines near the 4-minute parking spaces.

What If I Have a Large Quantity to Donate:

You can bring up to 4 boxes during hours when the library is open between Tuesday 10 a.m. and Thursday 4 p.m. and speak with a staff person at the accounts desk to get assistance. If you have a larger quantity to donate, please contact cupertinofol@gmail.com before bringing to the library.

When Donating Books Can I Get a Receipt?

Yes. A library staff member can provide a receipt upon request.
