ABOUT THE FILM:

Love Between the Covers” is a feature length documentary film about the little-known yet powerful community of women who read and write romance novels. Creators of the film followed the lives of six romance authors. The movie shadows these women as they create their stories, live their lives, cope with changes in publishing and earn a living as romance writers while at the same time work to inspire others to do the same. Film maker and creator, Laurie Kahn-Leavitt, created the documentary to spotlight the lives and work of these compelling women who work in one of the most successful areas of the publishing industry. Outselling mystery, sci-fi and fantasy stories, the genre of romance is one of the most popular and bestselling categories in the publishing industry with an estimated annual $1 billion in sales revenue.
