Green Cleaning

Why should you switch to green cleaning? Let me count the reasons why:

  1. Safety! Take a look at your typical bottle of conventional cleaner and take note of all the warnings. Household cleaning supplies are one of the top ten ways in which children and pets are exposed to poison in the home. They can also be harmful to your lungs and skin. Green cleaning supplies are typically non-toxic.
  2. It's better for the environment! All of those toxic chemicals make their way into the environment and pollute our waterways and harm wildlife. Also, most household cleaners come in single-use plastic bottles. With green cleaners, you can either re-use plastic bottles or use glass bottles.
  3. Save money! The basic ingredients to make your own cleaning supplies are much cheaper.
  4. Customizable! You can add your favorite essential oils to get the scents that you love.

These are just a few reasons to switch to green cleaning. I love the process of making my own cleaning products, especially since I'm picky about scents and can make things smell how I like (I'm personally fond of orange and eucalyptus essential oils).
