Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th through October 15th recognizing the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. The national commemoration of Hispanic Heritage Week began in 1968 under President Lyndon Johnson. Twenty years later, President Ronald Reagan expanded the observation to a month.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Santa Clara Library District with a wide variety of activities for the entire family, including Cascada de Flores bilingual Spanish music and storytelling series and sugar skulls decorating. Please visit the events page for a complete list of activities.
