Happy Halloween from SCCLD!

Halloween is my favorite holiday for so many reasons: the costumes, the decorations, the CANDY! I still love the excited, sort of spooky feel of walking around at night with friends, neighbors, and strangers, and witnessing so much creativity in our community as I admire the artistry and humor of costumes and decoration. Most of all, it's just pure FUN. Whether I'm trick-or-treating with my son, handing out candy at the door, attending a party, watching horror movies, or any combination of the above, it's just so much fun. And you know who can help you with that fun? Your friendly local SCCLD library, that's who! We have what you need for costume inspiration and creation, makeup skills, house decorating, pumpkin carving, and horror movie watching. Check out the list below, search Creativebug for Halloween to find classes and tutorials, find a good horror book to read, and check out the multitude of horror movies available for free from Kanopy and Hoopla! All you need is a library card. Also, don't forget to check out some of the spooktacular programs for adults we're hosting at our various libraries:
