When children are hungry, their physical, emotional and social wellbeing suffers. According to Feeding America, opens a new window, “research shows an association between food insecurity and delayed development in young children; risk of chronic illnesses like asthma and anemia; and behavioral problems like hyperactivity, anxiety, and aggression in school-aged children.”

The Santa Clara County Library District and the Silicon Valley YMCA are proud to partner up to provide free, nutritious meals to children.

Included for distribution are flyers in English and Spanish for both library locations.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider. The Summer Food Service Program is a program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, administered in California by the California Department of Education.
