This month we are highlighting October as National Bullying Prevention Month. By promoting positive actions including kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, we can take steps to prevent this harmful practice. We encourage you to share information about how to prevent bullying in our communities. Those who witness bullying or are bullied may feel unsafe, helpless, or fear becoming the next target.
Talking about bullying with children builds understanding and empowers them to know what to do when they see or experience bullying. Kids can make great decisions in bullying intervention and with adult encouragement, kids can be supportive of anyone experiencing bullying.
