Community Survey 2024

The Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD) seeks community feedback through surveys. Traditionally, a triannual survey (every three years) is designed to elicit input. The last full survey was conducted in 2019 with the cycle disrupted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Specific surveys were conducted in 2021 (library services during the COVID-19 pandemic) and 2022 (community input regarding the development and prioritization of the SCCLD 5 Year Strategic Plan).

The 2024 Community Survey is the continuation of the triannual survey, designed to better understand who is using the library, how patrons are using the library, and what would make their experience better. The survey gathered information and feedback on overall satisfaction with library services, collections, programs, and facilities.

The survey was available in both online and paper formats from October 28- December 1, 2024. It was offered in English, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese and available to all residents, including non-library users.

This report provides the key findings.
