Bestselling Author and Editor will Speak at Foothill College’s

The Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD) is proud to host the Distinguished Author Series, which welcomes writers who spark thought-provoking ideas and conversations. These writers come from different and diverse backgrounds, with stories that will captivate and inspire. Acclaimed novelist, short-story writer and editor Silvia Moreno-Garcia is the recipient of the Locus and British Fantasy Awards. Born in Mexico but now living in Canada, Moreno-Garcia’s writings cross multiple genres from fantasy, science fiction, horror and noir. Her works include Mexican Gothic (2020), Velvet was the Night (2021) and the recently released The Daughter of Doctor Moreau (2022). District 5 Supervisor and Library JPA Governing Board Member Joe Simitian will deliver the opening remarks. This conversation will be moderated by KQED journalist Alexis Madrigal. |
