Teen Volunteer Application for volunteers 14-17 years of age.
The Library does not accept volunteers under 14 years of age. Applications are accepted on a space available basis.


Bookmobile
Teen volunteers must be age 14-17.

  • Volunteers have the option of being on a weekly schedule and/or being notified of special events.
  • To apply, fill out a printed application available on the Bookmobile or online, then submit in person after contacting volunteer coordinator.
  • Shifts are typically available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and will take place at our Bookmobile Office at 1370 Dell Avenue, Campbell.

Campbell Library
Teen volunteers must be age 14 and up.

  • Volunteers have the option of being on a weekly schedule and/or being notified of special events.
  • Teens may also apply to volunteer with the Teen Advisory Board. We meet monthly to talk about how we can make the library better for teens.
  • To apply, fill out an application from the Teen Zone or ask for one at the Adult Information Desk or Accounts Desk, then hand it in at one of the desks.

Cupertino Library

  • Teens must be 14 or older to volunteer.
  • Volunteer shifts are 2 hours per week for a period of four months.
  • All new teen volunteers are required to attend an orientation for this program.
  • Teen volunteers also have the opportunity to take part in Cupertino Library's Green Teen Garden Project.
  • Complete the online Teen Volunteer Application, print it out, and return it to the 2nd floor Adult Reference Desk.

Gilroy Library
Gilroy Library has volunteer opportunities for Teens wishing to complete Community Service Hours. The library holds 4 volunteer sessions per year.

June-August | September-November | December-February | March-May

Volunteers will work once per week for two hours per week during their volunteer session. Teens may complete one session of volunteer hours at the library unless invited to reapply by staff. Volunteers may register for the next volunteer session at the end of each volunteer session. Dates for registration will be posted in the library and on the library events calendar.

Los Altos Library
Volunteering at the Los Altos Library:

  • Potential volunteers must visit during our open hours and fill out a volunteer application at the Adult Reference Desk.
  • Volunteers may work a maximum of two hours a week.
  • Assignments are a minimum three month commitment. Must be at least 14 years of age.

Milpitas Library
Teen volunteers 14 and up must attend a volunteer orientation in order to volunteer.

Volunteer orientations:

  • Are held on the third Wednesday of each month from 4:00-4:30 PM in the Computer Training Room.
  • No orientations are held during the months of July, August, November, and December.

Morgan Hill Library
Volunteering at the Morgan Hill Library:

  • Minimum age for volunteers is 14 years old
  • Shifts available Monday through Saturday

Saratoga Library
The library has a limited number of teen volunteer positions available on a quarterly basis:

June-August | September-November | December-February | March-May

Apply for a session if you:

  • Are at least 14 years old
  • Love the library and want to make a difference in your community
  • Can commit to two scheduled volunteer hours per week for three months

Woodland Branch
