Teen Volunteers: 14-17 years of age
The Library cannot accept volunteers under 14 years of age. Applications, opens a new window are accepted on a space available basis. See below for information about the library location where you are interested in volunteering.

Bookmobile
- Volunteer hours can be a filled on a regular basis or just one time depending on volunteer's need.
- To apply, fill out an application, opens a new window, then scan and send to the email below.
- Shifts are typically available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and will take place at our Bookmobile Office at 1370 Dell Avenue, Campbell.

Campbell Library
- Volunteers have the option of being on a regular schedule and/or being notified of special events.

Cupertino Library
- Volunteer shifts are 2 hours per week for a period of four months.
- All new teen volunteers are required to attend an orientation for this program.

Gilroy Library
Teen Advisory Board (TAB) applications for the 2022-2023 term are closed.
Gilroy Library has volunteer opportunities for Teens wishing to complete Community Service Hours. The library holds 4 volunteer sessions per year:
June-August | September-November | December-February | March-May
Volunteers will work once per week for two hours per week during their volunteer session. Teens may complete one session of volunteer hours at the library unless invited to reapply by staff. Volunteers may register for the next volunteer session at the end of each volunteer session. Dates for registration will be posted in the library and on the library events calendar.

Los Altos Library
Volunteering at the Los Altos Library:
- Potential volunteers must visit during our open hours and fill out a volunteer application at the Adult Reference Desk.
- Volunteers may work a maximum of two hours a week.
- Assignments are a minimum three month commitment.

Milpitas Library
Milpitas Library is a certifying organization of the President's Service Volunteer Award which recognizes high levels of service and commitment of volunteerism.
Teen volunteers will assist in library-related clerical tasks with special opportunities to help librarians in events.
All new teen volunteers are required to attend an orientation for this program. To apply, fill out an online application and email miteen@sccl.org or ask for one at your library. Applications are only accepted during the school year.

Morgan Hill Library
Morgan Hill Teen Advisory Board
We are now accepting applications for the 2024/25 board.
Board members have to:
- Commit to serve on the board for the whole semester.
- Attend meetings on Thursday afternoons at least once a month.
- Organize and attend TAB events at the library.
- Be an active Morgan Hill Library patron and be between the ages of 14-18.

Morgan Hill Library Teen Volunteer Program
Volunteers will assist in library-related clerical tasks with special opportunities to help librarians in events.

Saratoga Library
The library has a limited number of teen volunteer positions available on a quarterly basis:
June-August | September-November | December-February | March-May
Teen volunteers have to commit to two scheduled hours per week and have to be residents of Saratoga or Monte Sereno.
Saratoga Library Teen Advisory Board
We are no longer accepting applications for the 2024/25 Teen Advisory Board.
Check with sateen@sccl.org in May/June 2025 for openings for the 2025/26 board.
Board members have to:
- Commit to serve on the board for the whole school year.
- Attend monthly meetings on Tuesdays at 4:30pm.
- Organize and attend TAB events at the library.
- Be a resident of Saratoga or Monte Sereno and at least 14 years old.
