The New York Public Library, the developers behind SimplyE, will be ending support for SimplyE in 2024 and it will be removed from the SCCLD website on January 31, 2024. Due to this, SCCLD encourages users of SimplyE to begin to transition their eBook and Audiobook usage to another one of our many providers of Audiobooks, eBooks and other digital media.
Users can find a variety of eMaterials on these sites:
Libby, opens a new window: This is our largest online collection of eMaterials! Download or stream eBooks and audiobooks including fiction, non-fiction, bestsellers, and more. The Libby Help website , opens a new windowhas invaluable information on how to access and navigate Libby.
The Palace Project:, opens a new window This app was introduced this year (2023) and has very similar content to SimplyE. With the Palace app, you have access to Palace Project digital collections from the California State Library and Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD). Enjoy thousands of free books from the Palace Bookshelf – available exclusively in the app.
CloudLibrary:, opens a new window Download eBooks including fiction, non-fiction, bestsellers, and many genres.
