Inez Olivera lives in nineteenth-century Buenos Aires, where she has everything she wants.... except her parents who are always away traveling the world. But when Inez learns her parents died tragically, she inherits not only great wealth but also a mysterious guardian. The guardian, an archaeologist, and his secretive brother-in-law take her to Cairo where Inez brings her drawings and a special ring she received from her dad. Inez soon discovers the ring has special powers that lead her to uncover secrets about her parents. In Cairo, Inez faces challenges and meets the pesky assistant of her guardian. But to discover what happened to her parents, Inez must use ancient magic and avoid becoming a pawn in a dangerous game.
