This September, Santa Clara County Library (SCCLD) is partnering with the Bay Football Club to offer two original library card designs for a limited time! Sign up for a new card or replace your old one starting September 1st to grab a library card with the Bay FC team logo and colors, while supplies last. Show your love for our local National Women's Soccer League team and support the library.
Bay FC is the first NWSL team in the Bay Area. It was founded by four U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team icons: Brandi Chastain, Aly Wagner, Danielle Slaton, and Leslie Osborne. Their inaugural season began earlier this year in March 2024.
“Watching the U.S. women’s soccer team win gold at the Paris Olympics was both exciting and inspiring,” said County Librarian Jennifer Weeks. “Now, SCCLD is delighted to join with another team of tremendous footballers, the women of Bay FC, to encourage our residents to come explore the library and the many free resources, programs and services that we offer. Bay FC and SCCLD are a dream pairing, on and off the field.”
