Three New Opioid Overdose Prevention Workshops Scheduled for August

Trainings Include Free Supply of Life-Saving Medication Naloxone!

WHAT:

In addition to the five already announced events, three additional trainings have been added around International Overdose Awareness Day on Thursday, August 31. One of them will be held in Spanish (8/30 at Gilroy Library).

WHY:
Naloxone nasal spray has been proven to save lives, if administered quickly to individuals who have overdosed from opioids. The County of Santa Clara has seen an increase in overdoses caused by opioids this year and it is crucial to spread the word about the dangers of these drugs and available remedies.
