Juvenile Justice Center Libraries

Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD), in partnership with the Santa Clara County Office of Education and the Santa Clara County Probation Department, provides library service to youth at our county’s Juvenile Justice Center in San Jose and the Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility in Morgan Hill. Libraries at these locations provide youth access to professionally curated library materials, programs and activities, as well as other activities to prompt interaction and engagement. This partnership supports SCCLD in providing a full-time Teen librarian on-site to work with youth, staff and partners.

Elmwood Correctional Complex Women’s Library

Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD), in partnership with the County of Santa Clara Sheriff’s Office, provides library service at the Elmwood Complex Women’s Facility in Milpitas. Open hours are offered for patrons to visit the library, and library service is also offered to patrons in unit at the facility. A professionally curated collection of materials provides resource for education, personal development, and rehabilitation. This partnership supports SCCLD in providing a full-time librarian dedicated to this service.
