The annual Be-YOU-Tiful Multimedia contest, opens a new window, proudly presented by the Eating Disorders Resource Center (EDRC), opens a new window, is now accepting submissions!
To enter, you must be a student in the Bay Area between the grades of 6 and 12. Your entry may be in the form of an essay, poem, visual art piece, video, or other piece of media. The deadline to submit your work is April 30th.
Winning entries will receive prizes and recognition including cash prizes, gift certificates, and more! Additionally, winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony in the Spring, where their work will be displayed for the community.
Theme: Mental Health, Identity, Self-Acceptance, and Self-Care
Your piece should respond to the following prompts:
- What would you tell your past self about mental health and self-care?
- How have stereotypes, cultural background, gender, race, or other parts of your identity played a part in your mental health and self-acceptance?
