Programs and Events
We have lots of programs, clubs, and activities for teens coming up in the month of August.
Campbell Library is putting on a DJ Workshop on Wednesday, August 6th at 6:00pm. Learn from a professional DJ and play some tracks on a Pioneer DDJ mixer!

If you are looking to meet new people, Gilroy Library and Morgan Hill Library host Safe Space. It is an LGBTQI+ and ally social club. Safe Space plays games, does crafts, and goes on adventures!

Milpitas Library is holding a program, 'College Admissions in the Age of AI: Policies, Ethics, and Impact'. This presentation will take place on Saturday, August 1st at 11:00am.
Saratoga Library will host a virtual webinar, 'College Admissions in the Age of AI: Policies, Ethics, and Impact', on Tuesday, August 18th at 5:00 pm.

Back to School Resources
You will find resources for High School students, teachers, and parents at he High School Student Portal (hsstudent.sccld.org/). You will need an eAccount to access this resource. You can learn which school districts are participating here.
If you are looking for volunteer opportunities, give the library a try. You must be 14 years or older to volunteer with the library:
- Most of our libraries have teen volunteer hours! Check with your local library to see if they have open volunteer slots.
- Teen Advisory Boards are also an option for fulfilling volunteer hours. They serve longer terms and get to work with the Teen Librarian to guide teen services.
- Interested in being a Homework Help Tutor? Apply online to become a tutor for elementary kids at your library. You can fulfill your volunteer hours!

Taking a break is an important part of studying and school work too. Here are some resources to take the best breaks:
- Headspace App - this app provides guided meditations, sleep sounds, and mindful movement exercises.
- Freegal Music & Hoopla – Whether it’s for a study break or setting the study mood, you can listen to music using these apps!
