Sometimes it can be a challenge to get children interested in reading nonfiction. Or maybe your child needs help finding the right nonfiction book about a certain topic.

BookFlix to the rescue! You can choose from one of nine categories or stories, or click the Featured Pair on the home screen. Young children will enjoy watching the story and then reading the nonfiction book. Featured vocabulary words are highlighted in yellow, and the option to read along is available for both books. Then kids can test their reading comprehension with Puzzlers that ask them to do a Word Match and then answer Which Came First? There are even websites and author biographies available to allow curious minds to Dive Deeper.

All you need is your library card to access BookFlix from home or at the library. From our web page, find the Kids drop down menu. Select eBooks, Downloads, & Streaming for Kids. BookFlix is at the top of the listed resources. BookFlix is a fun way to reinforce early reading skills and introduce children to a world of knowledge and exploration!
