Free and fully confidential consultations provided by local legal aid groups

WHO:  The Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD) and legal aid groups from across the Bay Area.

WHAT: Free, fully confidential legal services for individuals seeking help with applications for citizenship, guidance on the naturalization legal process and related topics.  

WHY:  Welcoming Week is a national movement (September 14-23) to show solidarity with immigrants and refugees in the U.S. and to assist them to acclimate to the community, and access government services.

DID YOU KNOW? Monday, September 17 is Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, a federal observance meant to draw attention to the history of the American Constitution, which was signed on that day back in 1787. The Day also recognizes all who have become U.S. citizens, either by coming of age or through the naturalization process.
