Distinguished Author Series Begins with Pulitzer Prize Winning Author Sonia Nazario

Three-Part Series Begins on October 22

 

WHAT:                 The Distinguished Author Series brings together three well-known writers who will discuss their nonfiction books that have dominated bestseller lists and sparked meaningful conversations. The series begins with Sonia Nazario, author of Enrique’s Journey, the story of a Honduran boy struggling to find his mother in the United States.

WHY:                    The Santa Clara County Library District is proud to bring a variety of viewpoints to our patrons. As an institution that is committed to free access to information, educational and recreational resources and materials, SCCLD aims to provide these kind of special events and author visits for our patrons. 

The Distinguished Author Series will also present authors John Carreyrou on October 30 at De Anza Visual & Performing Arts Center and Susan Orlean at the Campbell Heritage Theatre on December 11.

The events are free and open to the public.  Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.  Seating is limited and participants are encouraged to arrive early.
