Cupertino Library Celebrates New Expanded Hours

Daylong community event with entertainment for all ages

WHO: Cupertino Library, Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD), County Supervisor and Joint Powers Authority Library Board Member—Joe Simitian, Mayor of Cupertino—Darcy Paul, and live, family-friendly entertainment.  

WHY: Effective Friday, June 1, 2018, Cupertino Library will add six new weekly service hours on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, for a total of 72 weekly hours of operation. The new service hours will be Mondays through Fridays from 10 am to 9 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 6:30 pm.

WHAT: To mark this important public service, Cupertino Library will be hosting a community celebration. The event will feature performances by Python Ron’s Reptile Kingdom, Michelle Pollace’s Latin Jazz group, and Kahaani!: South Asian Folk Tales, Myths and Stories. County Supervisor Joe Simitian and Mayor Darcy Paul will be present to welcome the audience at the 4pm presentation of Kahaani!: South Asian Folk Tales, Myths and Stories.
