At-Home Access

Sign in with your library card and PIN, then select 24-hour anonymous access or 72-hour access to proceed.

  • We offer two at-home access options: 24-hour and 72-hour. 24-hour is anonymous access (no registration is required), and 72-hour access requires registration using Google, Apple, Facebook, or your email address.
  • After the time has expired, you will need to revisit the Library’s subscription link (i.e. the At-Home Access link from the webpage you are on now) to start a new session. FAQs.
  • For remote “home” access, we recommend that users under the age of 18 use the 24-hour Anonymous Access option that is provided on The Mercury News’ Welcome page, available after signing in with your library card number and PIN. This option does not require registration for an account.
