On Sunday, February 9, 2020, South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho made Oscar history at the 92nd Academy Awards. For the first time in 92 years, a non-English film has won the Best Picture prize at the annual awards given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Parasite won Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay.
