Teens Making History Project

What has 2020 looked like for you? Imagine through the eyes of your parents, grandparents, younger siblings, and your friends. Did you miss prom this year? Partake in a virtual graduation? Skip a sports season, get a new dog, or become Tik Tok famous? We want to hear about, and so do future generations of teens.

The Covid Diaries is a project from the California State Library as a way to archive the diverse stories and experiences created from the current pandemic. In support of the project and to help spark creativity, we are presenting a series of “Teens Making History” virtual workshops for teens 13+.

August 6th, Thursday 2-4pm: Poetry workshop with Santa Clara County Poet Laureate Janice Sapigao.

September 17th, Thursday 4-5:30pm: Six Word Memoirs: A writing workshop with instructor Rashna Wadia.

October 3rd, Saturday 2-3pm: Teen Photography Workshop with Bob Ray

Registration is required and space is limited. Please check our online calendar and teen page regularly for additional workshops and dates. Workshop attendance is not required to participate in the project, visit https://sccld.org/california-covid-diaries/ for information.
