SCCLD Receives 5-Star Library Honor

For the 14th straight year, SCCLD has been named a Star Library by the Library Journal, a trade journal for the library profession. They also gave SCCLD a highest possible 5-Star rating in 2021, up from 4 stars in 2020, for exceptional service. Overall, Library Journal ranked SCCLD as one of the top five library systems in the nation with an operation budget of more than $30 million.

To be recognized in this way by a respected organization that devotes itself to improving libraries is a major honor. This 5-Star national ranking reflects the daily efforts of our staff to continuously provide the best possible experiences, resources, and services to our patrons.

From our revamped website and increased digital content, to our libraries and Bookmobiles, to the support groups behind the scenes, this has been a team effort all focused on providing outstanding library services. We look forward to even greater things in 2022.
