April 30th is Children’s Day/Book Day (Día de los niños / Día de los libros). Children’s Day/Book Day, commonly referred to as Día, is a nationally recognized initiative that celebrates the importance of literacy for all children from all backgrounds. It is a commitment to ensure all children and their families have access to diverse books, languages and cultures. For this year, SCCLD has created a specialized library Literacy Loteria “Take and Go” kit. La Loteria is a traditional family game played by Latinx families similar to bingo.
Stop by; pick up a kit and Celebrate Día with your family and SCCLD.
