O’Keeffe’s Paint Along with Sheryl Cathers on Zoom

Adults, teens, and families are invited to paint along with Sheryl Cathers to create a giant red poppy in the style of Georgia O'Keeffe.  Join this Zoom program on Wednesday, March 23 at 7 pmRegistration is required.  Please sign up for this program at Paint Like Georgia O'Keeffe.  We are celebrating one of the greatest women artists during Women's History Month.

Sheryl Cathers is a local artist.  Sheryl is an oil painter and prolific mural painter with many local works, including the exterior mural at the Gilroy library.  Sheryl has taught art to all ages for many years.  She served as Art Director at St. Mary School (K-8) for 18 years and opened Dabble Art Center in 2010 where she continues to share her love of art and encourage others to pursue their own artistic abilities.

As this will be a Zoom program, please gather some supplies ahead of time.  Here is a list of suggested materials.  The Zoom link will be provided on the day of the program.  To assist children and beginning artists, an art copy sheet/template of the outline of the flower will be provide with the Zoom link.

Georgia O'Keeffe was a 20th century painter and pioneer of American Modernism, best know for her depictions of enlarged flowers, animal skulls, southwest landscapes, and skyscrapers.
