Save the date! Kids' Art Club will be back this Fall, beginning on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. We will meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 4:00 p.m. on Zoom and Facebook Live. School-age children will have the opportunity to explore art, art history, and crafting with our children's librarians. Find each event on our online calendar, and prepare your materials. We will try to keep the materials as simple as possible.

You can still participate the day of by visiting the Santa Clara County Library District Facebook page, where we will be Live streaming the Zoom event at the same time. After the event, don't forget to post to our ongoing art club gallery.

| October 6 | Bean Mosaics | Mosaics have been around since Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium BC. They are patterns and images created using small substances such as stones, glass, or ceramics. We are going to create our own mosaics using beans! |
| October 20 | Pumpkin Crafts | Let's celebrate this infamous fall time gourd with some fun crafts for all ages! |
| November 3 | Dinosaur String Art | Practice negative and positive space and create awesome 2-D dinosaurs using yarn and pushpins. |
| November 17 | Printmaking | Get inspired to experiment with printing by using household items. |
| December 1 | Snowflake Art | Celebrate winter temperatures by creating snowflakes. Watercolor salt snowflakes and cut paper snowflakes will be made. |
| December 15 | Holiday Crafts | Let's celebrate winter by making holiday crafts! We will be creating faux stained glass cards and puffy snowman. |
