Exercise Your Freedom To Read

Celebrate Banned Books Week from September 27 to October 3. Since 1982, this annual event has brought together reading communities in support of the freedom to seek and express ideas and perspectives.

Books help readers of all ages learn about new worlds and experiences, and the Library supports intellectual freedom with a diverse and extensive collection. Find your next great book at the Library!

Wondering what is on the Banned Books lists? The American Library Association produced an annual listing of the most Challenged Books of 2019 at libraries across the country.  For the Challenged Book lists from previous years, visit the ALA website.
