4. Early Literacy Tip:  The Importance of COLORS for Reading

In episode four, we encourage you to point out colors to your child on a daily basis. You can do this wherever you are—in the produce aisle in the supermarket, while out walking through your neighborhood, or while sitting inside your home. Describe the colors and objects and then ask your child what color something is.

By talking about colors and objects, you are helping your child develop their vocabulary and future reading comprehension.
