The nominations for the 2020 Grammy Awards were announced on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.
This year's awards recognize music released between October 1, 2018 - August 31, 2019. Lizzo received the most nominations of any artist this year with eight nominations. Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X and Ariana Grande also all received multiple major nominations for their work.
The awards will be announced on Sunday, January 26, 2020.
The Grammy Awards recognize music in various genres including r&b, pop and rock as well as the general category awards. The general category awards are given in four categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist.
